Botulinum Toxin Treatment
Choosing the Right Botulinum Toxin: Botox, Jeuveau, or Xeomin?
Explore Your Options for Botulinum Toxin Treatments
In the world of aesthetic treatments, botulinum toxin injections have been a popular choice for rejuvenating your appearance. Dr. Treece has over two decades of experience in administering these injections, including Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin. Discover the similarities and differences between these options to make an informed decision about your treatment.
Understanding the Botulinum Toxins
Botulinum Toxin-A
Botulinum Toxin A, or BTA, is the common factor among Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin. Botox and Jeuveau have extra proteins attached and Xeomin is “naked”. The proteins have nothing to do with BTA itself. When injected, the body knows to remove these proteins and then the Botox/Jeuveau start to take effect. Because of the protein removal step, Botox may kick in slightly slower than Xeomin (about a day slower). The difference is completely negligible.
The Price Variations
Each of these products comes with its own price tag. The best way to get the best price is to see us every 3 to 4 months and get our “Loyal Patient” pricing. Our office does run promotions for both which provide the greatest savings, so make sure you are on our email list and follow us on Facebook.
Making Your Choice
The Equivalence of BTA Products: Comparing Apples to Apples
In essence, Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin are remarkably similar. They are administered in the same way, with identical units per injection. While they work equally well for most individuals, personal preferences may influence your choice.
Areas of Treatment
Explore the various facial areas where Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin can be applied, including the forehead, brow area, around the eyes (crows feet), above the lips, and by the marionette lines. Keep in mind that your treatment needs may evolve over time, especially if you maintain a 3-month schedule.
Ensuring Quality Care
The Importance of an Experienced Injector: Protecting Your Investment
Not all “injectors” mix these products equally, potentially resulting in diluted treatments that may not meet your expectations. This makes the Botox not work to standards and makes it more likely to spread and result in “droops”. A bad outcome will last 3 months! Choose a qualified aesthetics specialist with extensive experience to ensure safe, effective results that last.
The Patient-Centric Approach
At our practice, we prioritize your satisfaction and safety. Whether you’re a BTA veteran or new to these treatments, we encourage open communication and regular follow-ups to achieve sustainable, happy results. Patients new to BTA are scheduled to follow up in 2 weeks to check their results. Starting with the minimal dose is standard, but you may need more. A good physician is most interested in sustainable results and happy loyal patients.
